Keep an Attitude of Gratitude

Appreciation or gratitude can immediately turn your thoughts around. If you are faced with a difficult situation, stop for a minute and think of all the good things in your life. You will find that your attitude changes for the positive and you’ll feel like you can easily cope with anything you encounter.

When we count our blessings, we will have more to count.  On those days that don’t seem to go as planned, take time to write down a list of all the good things that had happened that day.  When you do this, you’ll see that the good most likely outnumbered the bad. Look for good things to appreciate and be grateful for even on a terrible day. Your mood will be changed in an instant.

Make it a habit to end your day by writing a list of all the things in your life that you appreciate. Not only should you do that on a daily basis, do it whenever you feel that you’re starting to feel down and when you’re starting to focus on the negative rather than the positive.

During each day of the Seven Day Mental Diet, stop several times and turn your attention to everything that you appreciate in your life. If you need a reminder, set your watch or cell phone to alert you three times during the day. Then take out a piece of paper and list all the good things in your life. Don’t just think about them. Write them down. Doing this will make it so much easier to maintain the challenge of the Seven Day Mental Diet.

When you have successfully completed the Seven Day Mental Diet, you will be a different person. You will have a completely new outlook on the world and a new way of looking at things. You will make a conscious decision to choose your responses to events rather than just reacting mindlessly.

You know that your thoughts can change your life. But just imagine the power of a positive thought multiplied by the billions of people now living on the earth. What could we accomplish if we all united in powerful positive thought?

Now that you have experienced the power of thought, I challenge you to pass it on. Help to spread the word about the power we have to focus our thoughts on the positive and watch the world change for the better.  Every thought will make a difference.  You will make the difference.  And never forget you have the power to change the world…one positive thought at a time.
